This Solar Panel & Battery Size Calculator ("the site") is operated by Tim Johnson. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices available to you — including around the advertising shown on this site.
This site does not require you to create an account, sign up, or submit any personal information to use the calculator.
The calculator itself
Everything you enter into the calculator — your city, electricity usage, bill rates, and the sliders you move — is processed entirely in your own browser. None of it is sent to or stored on our servers. If you close the tab or reload the page, that information is gone.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site automatically receives some technical information when you visit:
- Basic analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they view. This is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
- Standard hosting logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) may log technical details like IP address and browser type for security and reliability purposes, as is standard for any website.
